Jarvice Bukirwa Sekajja PhD is a Ugandan social and community development specialist with over 20 years of experience in research, capacity building, training, designing and implementing sustainable community-based HIV and AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, orphans and other vulnerable children, and gender programs. 

Jarvice holds a PhD in Social Work Planning and Management, a Master’s degree in Social Sector Planning and Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She has extensive qualitative research skills and research interests in HIV and reproductive health, Orphans and other vulnerable children, sexual and gender-based violence, social norms and reproductive health practices.

Jarvice has extensive experience in implementation of HIV prevention and reproductive health projects, engagement of private sector to leverage resources for family-centered comprehensive OVC, and HIV and AIDS care for adolescents living in fishing communities, internally displaced persons and street children.  Jarvice also has experience in Gender programing and analysis, designing integrated HIV and AIDS, WASH and economic strengthening interventions for youth, women and OVC households.
